About Us
Who we are
We team members believe that educating girl is the the best solution for empowering them.
Civic Independence Development (CID-Nepal) is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization with the great aim of enabling equal education opportunities for girls. The organization operates its stay-in-school program in the Eastern, Morang district, a marginalized area of Nepal after we received a approval from the Social Welfare Council of Nepal. We learned that due to a poverty, a certain percentage of girls do not continue school as they have to support their parents for extra income. Because of this situation, it is likely that the girls will be headed towards an child/ early marriage between 14-17 age.
Our approach
Our Mission
Our mission is to make sure entire girls students of our catchment area continue school regardless of their parents financial limitation.
We assure the sponsor girls that we will assist them in their need for continuation of schooling, provide professional counseling, and organize workshops for their future dreams/plans, and different opportunities. They have to show their initiative and grab the opportunity.
Our Vision
We want to contribute our catchment area where no girls student feels alone, will gets support for continuation of school and health.
